The NMC and the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art present

the NOMOS String Trio

May 14, 2006

Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art

8pm

The NMC collaborated with the Halsey Institute to bring the Nomos String Trio to Charleston to perform new works for strings. The Nomos trio is comprised of young professional musicians all living in New York City. The concert provided two world premieres: Philip White's "In the dirt; bleach, the move" for string trio and film (film by Kevin Hoth), and Ted Hearne's "Half-life" for string trio, horn, and marimba. Many thanks to the Nomos Trio for travelling down, and the Halsey Institute for hosting the concert.
