In this, our first public performance, the New Music Collective commissioned 2 brand new works from local composers Jamie Self and Philip White. In addition, we performed excerpts from Philip White's upcoming film collaboration, "Variations on a Dream". The second half of the program consisted only of Frederic Rzewski's politically charged "Coming Together", written for a speaker and an ensemble of any instrumentation.
